These are the house rules for using Hone Movement Studios. We have kept them as clear as we can — please read through before your first booking, and get in touch if anything needs clarifying.

By making a booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings & First-Time Registration

All bookings must be made through our approved booking channels — our direct booking system, third-party platforms, or by invoice. Payment is required in full in advance using the method specified at the time of booking.

Before your first booking, you will be asked to complete a short enrolment form. This is where we collect:

  • a valid photo ID (passport or driving licence)
  • proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or council letter)

Your enrolment form must be completed before your first booking in order to receive access instructions.

If the form is not completed at least 36 hours in advance, we may be unable to provide access details in time, and your booking may be affected, including possible loss of the reservation.

2. Access & Self-Service Use

Hone Movement Studios operates as a self-service studio space.

Access details and entry codes are provided to you once your booking is confirmed. You may share these directly and securely with your students, guests, or participants — please do not distribute them through public channels, group messaging apps, or ticketing platforms.

You remain fully responsible for all persons entering the studio using your access code, including:

  • students
  • assistants
  • guests
  • event attendees
  • any third party invited by you

This includes full responsibility for:

  • damage to the premises
  • misuse of the facilities
  • security breaches
  • failure to lock doors or close windows
  • any breach of these Terms

Access codes must not be shared beyond those directly related to the booking.

3. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling

All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email.

7 or more days' notice

  • full refund, or
  • free rescheduling

2 to 7 days' notice (more than 48 hours)

  • 50% refund, or
  • free rescheduling

Less than 48 hours' notice

  • full fee is payable
  • no refund or reschedule

Missed bookings and no-shows are non-refundable.

Approved refunds may take up to 14 business days to process.

4. Studio Rules

To keep the space working well for everyone, please follow these rules:

  • no street shoes
  • no skates
  • no food inside the studio
  • no pets, with the exception of registered assistance dogs
  • all rubbish must be removed or disposed of properly
  • lights, music, windows, and doors must be switched off and secured before leaving
  • please give the floor a sweep using the studio brush provided
  • any furniture or equipment you have moved must be returned to its original position

Please leave the studio in the same condition you found it.

Maximum occupancy for events is 45 people.

5. Filming, Photography & Content Use

Filming and photography are permitted during your booking for:

  • personal use
  • rehearsal footage
  • class recordings
  • social media content
  • self-tapes

Any commercial filming, branded campaigns, paid productions, or professional shoots involving external clients must receive prior written approval from Hone Movement Studios.

We reserve the right to apply additional hire fees for commercial filming use.

6. Liability & Use at Own Risk

We want the studio to be a place where people do their best physical work. Please use it within your own limits and take care of each other.

All use of the studio and participation in any physical activity is at your own risk. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • dance
  • movement practice
  • rehearsals
  • fitness / stretching
  • workshops
  • private events

We are not liable for:

  • personal injury or accidents
  • loss or theft of personal belongings
  • damage to property brought into the studio

You are responsible for ensuring that all participants use the space safely.

7. Damage, Loss & Cleaning Charges

You are fully responsible for any damage caused by yourself or anyone attending under your booking. This includes damage to:

  • floors
  • mirrors
  • walls
  • sound equipment
  • furniture
  • locks / access systems
  • common areas of the building

You agree to cover the full cost of repairs, replacements, specialist cleaning, call-out fees, or security-related costs where damage, excessive mess, or misuse occurs.

8. Under 18s

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The adult making the booking accepts full responsibility for all minors attending.

9. Security & Building Safety

For the safety of everyone who uses the building, doors must not be left open or unlocked. Please ensure the premises are fully secured before you leave.

Any loss caused by failure to secure the premises may be charged to the booking holder.

10. Privacy

By booking with us, you consent to the collection of ID and proof of address for security and access verification purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
