Our story
Movement studios in Limehouse, built for the people who live to move
Why we exist
Hone Movement Studios is two light-filled studios in a warehouse in Limehouse — built for the people who live to move. Dancers, teachers, choreographers, theatre-makers, yoga and somatic practitioners, photographers. If you're here to create something, this is your room.
Our mission is simple to say and worth doing properly: give East London's movement community a home. A warm, well-loved space where dancers, teachers, makers and movers can do the work they love, in a room that loves them back.
The building on Pixley Street
The studios live in a converted Victorian factory on Pixley Street, E14 — big windows, high ceilings, and the kind of light you stop noticing you're looking for. Studio 28 came first: the everyday room, the one that makes weekly practice possible. Studio 49 followed — seven metres by seven, fully private, refurbished top to bottom, with natural light from both sides.
Both run on the same idea: open 6am to midnight, seven days a week, self-service from booking to lock-up. The building stays out of your way so the work can happen.
The HONE family
We're part of HONE, a community of makers, entrepreneurs and creatives in East London. We share the name, the standards and the visual DNA — but Movement is its own thing, with its own people and its own energy. The parent brand builds workspaces; we keep a floor swept for dancers.
What we believe
We love this. We love what happens inside these rooms — a teacher finding their rhythm week after week, a scratch rehearsal that became a full run, someone discovering what they're capable of. We love being the space where that happens.
A proper community. We know your name, we remember your project, and we genuinely cheer when things go well. We share your work — tag us in anything made in the studios — and we root for you. That's the community we're building: between our hirers, and between our hirers and us.
Real over polished. Simple, honest and useful. A great room, a fair price, and the stuff that actually matters when you're working.
Honest and clear. Simple pricing, no hidden fees, no tricky terms. What you see is what you get — and when something goes wrong, we sort it.
Come and do the work you love.
